The Exiles are currently 2.6 to win their group in the HEC whilst USAP are 1.6; it should be the other way around in my opinion. To me this is value due to the fact USAP never got their BP win at home against the Dragons and that Irish overcame a potentially difficult away game in Gwent where they demolished the hosts. The potential clinching games come on the 9th December when LI take on USAP in Reading with the return game being played a week later. It’s of my opinion that USAP are there for the taking…….
……..USAP are on terrible form at the moment, squeaking a home draw against Bourgoin 3-3 at the weekend and are currently languishing in twelfth place in the T14 and if things don’t improve quickly then I can see them only paying lip service to the HEC as at the end of the day all that matters in French Rugby is the league title.
The winner of the group will come from these two teams so I am taking the 2.6 on the Exiles BUT will monitor USAP closely, it also must be said their away form in the HEC isn’t exactly glorious and for reasons stated above – that away form could get worse.
